New York JFK Airport

I took ANA NH10 to New York JFK airport and arrived at Terminal 7 at around 10:30am. There were hundreds of people lining up at the passport control area. However, US citizens, US permanent residents and foreign visitors from certain countries(such as Canada) can go straight ahead to join another much shorter and much faster line. There is no Automated Passport Control Kiosk at JFK T5.

Passengers going to New York City can take AirTrain to Jamaica(or Howard Beach) station where you can buy a MetroCard from kiosks to pay for public transit fares including AirTrain, subways and buses. The AirTain ride from JFK airport to Jamaica costs $5. If you are on budget and have time to kill, you don’t have to pay the $5. Instead, you can take AirTrain back to JFK to take a bus to the city after you’ve purchased a MetroCard and have loaded enough funds to it. A bus ride to NYC will only cost you $2.75 with a MetroCard and you enjoy free transfers to other buses and subways. An empty MetroCard costs $1. You get a bonus of 11% when you buy or add $5.50 or more to your MetroCard.

纽约肯尼迪机场T7(国泰/全日空/加航)没有自助通关系统。
