大英博物馆每天10：00-17：30开放（周五延长到20：30），不需要门票，尽管到处都有请捐5英镑的捐款箱，但是跟台湾的寺庙一样随便你捐不捐。考虑捐5英镑的不妨去大厅的服务柜台花5英镑租一个语音导览器（有中文版）。
周二-周六每天13：15有45分钟免费讲座。每天11：00-15：45在众多展室有30-40分钟的开眼导览（免费），从日本馆到中国馆（中国馆关闭中，国庆期间也不开放）都有。每周五大英博物馆延长到20：30闭馆，所以晚间17：00-19：00增设了几场焦点导览（免费）。另外，大英博物馆也在周五、周六、周日的11：30和14：00提供90分钟的亮点导览（需要在大厅服务柜台购票）
大英博物馆有免费Wi-Fi，但仅部分地点覆盖到，速度也慢。

The Met‘s Asian department holds a collection of Asian art, of more than 35,000 pieces, that is arguably the most comprehensive in the US. The collection dates back almost to the founding of the museum: many of the philanthropists who made the earliest gifts to the museum included Asian art in their collections. Today, an entire wing of the museum is dedicated to the Asian collection, and spans 4,000 years of Asian art. Every Asian civilization is represented in the Met’s Asian department, and the pieces on display include every type of decorative art, from painting and printmaking to sculpture and metalworking. The department is well known for its comprehensive collection of Chinese calligraphy and painting, as well as for its Nepalese and Tibetan works. However, not only “art” and ritual objects are represented in the collection; many of the best-known pieces are functional objects. The Asian wing also contains a complete Ming Dynasty-style garden court, modeled on a courtyard in the Garden of the Master of the Fishing Nets in Suzhou.
Established on 16 April 1912 and opened on 19 March 1914, The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM, French: Musée royal de l’Ontario) is a museum of art, world culture and natural history in Toronto, Canada. It is one of the largest museums in North America, the largest in Canada, and attracts over one million visitors every year, the second most for a Canadian art museum after the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The museum is north of Queen’s Park, in the University of Toronto district, with its main entrance on Bloor Street West. The Museum subway station is named after the ROM, and since 2008, it is decorated to resemble the institution’s collection. St. George station is also close to the museum’s new entrance as well.

槟城州立博物馆位于乔治老城中心的殖民建筑区，门票仅1马币。博物馆展示了槟城发展史，包括很多历史照片和文物。华人、娘惹、马来人、印度人文化都有专门展厅展示。
槟城州立博物馆所在的历史建筑原本是Penang Free School所在地。Penang Free School对贫困儿童实施免费入学，也是马来西亚第一个共产主义小组组建的所在（1930年代被镇压），为共产主义在中国的传播起到了播种的作用。这栋大楼主要由华人出资所建。
