The Toronto Korean Film Festival offers up an incredible line-up this year of shorts programmes and new film releases! Reel Asian is proud to co-present the Korean Shorts Competition and two other feature films that have been generating buzz amongst the film festival circuit. There will be two screenings for the Canadian premiere of Broken (dir. Lee Jung Ho), an intense crime and revenge thriller of a father piecing together the murder of his daughter. We are also thrilled to co-present the North American premiere of the closing night film, Night Flight.

SYNOPSIS: Three teenage boys who were once close friends grow apart when they go on to high school: Yong-ju lives hiding his true sexual identity, Gi-woong becomes the leader of the school gang, and Gi-taek turns into an obsessive comic book fan. Tired of the constant malicious bullying by Gi-woong’s gang, Gi-taek betrays them by disclosing that Yong-ju has been in love with Gi-woong for years.
