Flavors of Honolulu

HMAA(Hawaii Medical Assurance Association) presents, along with the CITY & COUNTY OF HONOLULU, the inaugural FLAVORS OF HONOLULU, Honolulu’s premiere food & entertainment festival, a benefit for ABILITIES UNLIMITED (abilitiesunlimitedhi.org). The event is held on the Frank Fasi Civic Grounds next to Honolulu Hale, and feature Honolulu’s finest restaurants, a stellar line-up of crowd-pleasing entertainment, a celebrity cooking competition, wine tasting, keiki rides & activities, crafters, a mini farmers market, and much more for the whole ‘ohana to enjoy!

HOW: General Admission is $6. FREE for Seniors (65+), Active Duty Military (with ID), Keiki (12 & under).

Aloha Tower and Honolulu Harbor

夏威夷檀香山市中心火奴鲁鲁湾9号码头的Aloha Tower建于1926年,是夏威夷地标性建筑,就如同纽约自由女神像一样多年来迎接了无数的海外移民。现在,这里已经转型为夏威夷太平洋大学的校区,有一些餐厅吸引游客造访。周边码头停靠了檀香山之星晚餐邮轮等大大小小的邮轮与渔船,海湾中还有美国海岸护卫队的船只。

King Kamehameha Floral Parade, Honolulu, Hawaii

King Kamehameha I Day on June 11 is a public holiday in Hawaii. It honors Kamehameha the Great, the monarch who first established the unified Kingdom of Hawai’i. A floral parade is held annually at various locations throughout Hawaii.

On the island of Oahu, the parade takes a route beginning at King Street fronting ‘Iolani Palace. Participants will then head down Punchbowl Street, before making a left on to Ala Moana Boulevard and eventually Kalākaua Avenue. The parade comes to a finish at Monsarrat Avenue and Queen Kapi‘olani Park.
