Sarawak Islamic Museum

The Islamic Museum is open daily and the admission is free. It is located on Jalan P. Ramler in the beautifully restored Maderasah Melayu Building(1930). It is also accessible from the rear of the Sarawak Museum’s new wing. The Islamic Museum presents a clear picture of the rich historical heritage and special culture of the Muslim community in Sarawak and throughout the Malay-Indonesian archipelago,and traces connections with the development of Islam in the rest of the world. The museum consists of 7 galleries set around a central courtyard garden, each with a different theme.

砂捞越州立博物馆一周7天免费开放,平日9点开门,下午4点45关门。周末和节假日为10点开门,下午4点关门。

新馆的第一部分主要是展示原住民民俗和出土文物。文物中包括大量的中国唐宋元明清器物,证明早在上千年前中国人就与这片土地有了广泛的文化交流。

Chinese Cultural Performances @ Khoo Kongsi Penang

Amazing Chinese cultural performances amid Khoo Kongsi’s spectacular backdrop of lights right at its courtyard.

Held every last saturday of the month from 7pm to 10pm. A mini night market will be setup around the courtyard with tables and chairs. You can taste some good local food and drinks.

Culture performances from 8pm to 9:30pm.

Invitation cards are available at some hotels as well as for walk-ins on a first come first served basis at Khoo Kongsi.
