Putrajaya, Malaysia

Putrajaya

Monument Alaf Baru
Putrajaya

Comrade Cheers

Inspired by the historic first-ever international Italian fashion show in the Palazzo Pitti, Florence, in 1952, Salabianca aims to introduce refreshing fashion ideas to match the fast-maturing sophistication of consumers.

Company Overview

Tino Soon and Allan Chan, founders of the company, Sala Bianca, have been in the fashion retail circle for a good number of years, most of which were spent creating fashion excitement for a leading homegrown fashion store in Malaysia.

In 1995, the dynamic duo decided to explore new frontiers, still doing exactly what they are best at, but with a new twist – i.e. create fashion and merchandise excitement through their own set-up aptly named, Sala Bianca. This name takes inspiration from the room in the Palazzo Pitti where the historic fashion show lead to the birth of Italian fashion as we know it today – Sala Bianca means the ‘White Room’.

Sala Bianca, the company, began by assisting major retailers of Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines, in developing both ladies and men’s fashion products, as well as other supporting services or products where required. In 1999, they opened their own retail outlet, salabianca which has created waves in the local fashion circles till today.
