For 10 days in June, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival will present more than 350 concerts across 50+ locations from June 19 – June 28, 2014, as half a million music lovers unite for one of the city’s largest music festivals. The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre’s 3rd annual Toronto Japanese Film Festival will return June 12-27, 2014 with a new 18 film line-up.

The Toronto Japanese Film festival is dedicated to showcasing the finest Japanese films that have been recognized for excellence by Japanese audiences and critics, international film festival audiences and the Japanese Film Academy. The 2012 and 2013 festivals attracted large crowds, a broad demographic from all over the GTA and exit surveys indicating that audiences genuinely enjoyed the films. With the lectures, receptions, culinary seminars, gallery exhibitions and performances that were part of the two-week festival, our visitors numbered in the tens of thousands.

The 18th Annual Annex Festival on Bloor offers over 115 artisans, neighbourhood businesses, specialty food vendors, musicians, theatre performers, buskers and more, this year’s event features something for everyone.

Shirley Lum of “A Taste of the World Walks,” is a Toronto-born-bred and-based culinary historian, food tour guide and passionate foodie.

Diana Tso is a Toronto-based storyteller, performer, playwright and poet. She graduated from the University of Toronto, in English Literature, and from École Internationale de Théâtre de Jacques Lecoq, in Paris, France. She’s worked with diverse theatres internationally for over 15 years.
