Canada’s premier South Asian urban music festival is a free event that serves as one of the country’s biggest celebrations of South Asian urban culture and beyond.

The festival is described as a is a non-profit, youth-powered platform designed to put local artists on the map and unite, inspire and empower diverse communities of young people through arts and culture.

In addition to all the visual excitement, there will also be mouthwatering flavours from multiple food trucks and street vendors on deck.

Don’t miss the opportunity to gather in the heart of the city to celebrate great performances in great company!

Taste Of Russia Festival 2019

On June 9 Russian-Canadians would like to present an annual festival Taste of Russia.

Expect various ethnic bands and ensembles, modern dance clubs and performers, artisans and merchants will unite under ‘one roof’ to present the Eastern-European cultural experience to Canadians.

To demonstrate cuisine of multiple ethnicities living in Russia, they will bring restaurants, caterers and food vendors with flavors characteristic to peoples inhabiting Russia.

Kristyn Wong-Tam, Toronto’s only openly LGBT councillor, is expecting her first baby with her pregnant wife. Kristyn Wong-Tam was kicked out of home when she came out as a teenager. But now her mother can’t wait to introduce her and her wife to everyone and is making sure everybody knows that a newborn is joining this family.

Celebrating 70 Years of Flight

Withrow Common Art Gallery was proud to partner with the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) and the Canadian National Exhibition Archives in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the CIAS. This exhibit showcased archival images and film clips of the Air Show from the past 69 years! Visitors took flight through fantastic amateur and professional photography from CIAS fans and had the opportunity to learn from aviation specialists who led presentations about aviation and opportunities within the aviation industry. This exhibition was featured as the exhibit at Withrow Common Art Gallery for Doors Open Toronto from May 25-26, 2019.
