Ho Deng was established in 1997 with the encouragement and support from the parents of one of the musicians. They aim to provide a platform to introduce and broaden the knowledge of Chinese music, through a mix of instruments, to people with different cultural backgrounds.

The members of Ho Deng have grown from amateurs to professional stage performers. Through participating in rehearsals and performances, musicians develop a deeper understanding of their own culture and gain an unforgettable experience. The Ensemble has performed at numerous community activities, corporate events, school functions, and many others. These performances have brought the Ho Deng Ensemble to great acclaim within the Taiwanese-Canadian community in the Greater Toronto area.
The Ho Deng Ensemble will be performing familiar tunes from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, with traditional Chinese instruments.

成立於1997年，禾登樂集在許多父母的殷殷期盼與多方協助下成立，主要成員為無數具音樂天分的台裔年輕人，期望透過禾豋樂集這個音樂交流平台，讓自小就在國外長大的台灣青年學子，藉由彈奏各式不同文化的樂器互相交流，並且從樂器的獨奏、重奏及合奏中對樂曲有更深的認識，進而了解自己原鄉的人文背景。
參與禾登樂集的無數團員歷經一代代的學習與成長，從對音樂一無所知，對演奏毫無經驗，變成得以參與各式公司、大學與活動的現場音樂演出，展現過人的琴藝與成長；團員除了多場募款音樂會也參與醫院、每個月老人院義演、小學樂器展演解說、社團活動演出等等，每場演出都是一個歷練，更是永難忘懷的成長回憶。聆聽禾豋樂集在台灣文化節帶來的各種台灣、香港、與華語經典歌曲，感受透過中國樂器演奏的濃厚東方文化氣息。
