Zen Embroidery art is the perfect fusion of Zen, embroidery and contemporary painting. It focuses on the process of practice and meditation, helping to break the shackles of habitual thinking. Canadian artist Yijun Tang was born in a family of artists, his mother is the most famous Chinese embroidery maestro Jinzhen Gu, who embroidered the national gift that President Jiang Zemin sent to the family of U.S. President Bill Clinton in 1998. From 20 years of meditation and research, Tang invented the Zen embroidery stitch, which combines wisdom of origin and the Golden Ratio. Originally, isolated threads are associated with various combinations together. Tang has created the world’s first 3D Zen embroidery work of art.
