WWF Canada: Off the Hook Sustainable Seafood Day

多伦多

In advance of World Oceans Day on June 8, WWF-Canada and Patrick McMurray, owner of Toronto’s popular oyster bar Starfish, are bringing the ocean to Yonge-Dundas Square. On Wednesday, June 4, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., sample sustainable seafood options, take part in an oyster shucking competition and enjoy the simple pleasures of the beach. You’ll find that you’re a lot closer to the ocean that you think – even in the heart of Canada’s biggest city.

Celebrate upcoming World Oceans Day as Chef Patrick McMurray and WWF President & CEO David Miller discuss Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Aqua Stewardship Council (ASC) certified products. Chef Patrick will discuss his own sustainable seafood inspired recipes and the importance of purchasing sustainable seafood. There will also be sampling of Patrick’s own sustainable seafood recipes, an oyster shucking competition and other simple pleasures of the beach.

WWF is creating solutions to the most serious conservation challenges facing our planet, helping people and nature thrive.
