伦敦市民每年9月昂首期盼的一个周末就是Open House London。周六、周日两天伦敦众多的建筑免费开放给市民参观，包括唐宁街10号英国首相官邸、英国国会、威斯敏斯特大教堂、英国央行英格兰银行总部地下金库、英国最高法院、加拿大大使馆等。很多建筑平日是不开放给公众参观的，又或者是要买门票才能参观的。
很不幸的是，其中最热门的一些建筑都需要提前预约，甚至抽签（例如唐宁街10号），大家需要提前很早关注才有机会参观。其他建筑则只需要到门口排队即可（有的可能要排队2小时，例如骑兵卫队）。参观政府大楼基本都不允许拍照。
Open House London有手机应用，可以方便大家从地图上直观看到参与的建筑，但这手机应用是要付钱买的。
10 DOWNING STREET
10 Downing Street has been the residence of British Prime Ministers since 1735. Behind its black door the most important decisions affecting Britain for the last 276 years have been taken. It functions as the official residence of the Prime Minister, their office and also where the PM entertains guests including Her Majesty the Queen. Every single room, every staircase and corridor has witnessed events that have shaped our nation.

唐宁街10号首相官邸周日开放免费参观，但需要提前参加抽签。绝大多数游客只能在街口拍警察。
ADMIRALTY HOUSE
Grade I listed former Admiralty Building, behind Robert Adam’s Admiralty Screen on Whitehall. Owned by Cabinet Office; works of art and antiques from Ministry of Defence Art Collection.
英国内阁所有的ADMIRALTY HOUSE是原英国国防部大楼，内部装饰也有很多军事色彩。其中一幅油画是库克船长死后，船队归程途中在澳门靠岸所见场景。大楼内还有精美的中国大屏风，描绘的中国宋代宫廷场景。
BANQUETING HOUSE
Stunning regal building originally part of Whitehall Palace, one of the first examples of the principles of Palladianism being applied to an English building. Ceiling paintings by Rubens. It is the last surviving building from Whitehall Palace which burnt to the ground in 1698. Envisioned for the splendour and exuberance of court masques, the Banqueting House is probably most famous for one real life drama: the execution of Charles I. This took place here in 1649.
英国原本的大皇宫Whitehall毁于一场大火，唯一幸存的就是BANQUETING HOUSE这栋楼。楼上宴会厅天花板绘画请来大画家Rubens操刀，花费了3000英镑。BANQUETING HOUSE最令人津津乐道的可能是这里是内战失败的英王查尔斯一世被英国国会处决的地方。英国王室复辟后又将国会领袖尸体挖出来用铁链子吊起来，斩首，以复仇。

HORSE GUARDS
Grade I listed beautifully-detailed Palladian composition at the heart of Whitehall, for a hundred years HQ of the British Army. Duke of Wellington’s office as it was c1842.
英国女王的骑兵卫队总部导览非常热门，往往要排队等1个多小时。这是唯一的可以拍照的政府大楼。这里曾经长期是英国军队首长的办公室所在地，后来女王出面才说服搬迁到附近的ADMIRALTY HOUSE国防部大楼内。
PORTCULLIS HOUSE
Portcullis House contrasts its imposing facade with a generous light-filled courtyard covered by a glass roof at second level and surrounded by a 2-storey cloister. Extensive collection of parliamentary portraiture from Gilray to Scarfe. RIBA Award Winner.
这是上世纪90年代新建的国会办公大楼，英国的国会议员基本都在此工作，要投票时才通过地道去到老的国会大楼投票。
大楼非常的节能环保。没有暖气。夏天则完全靠抽取深层地下水降温。整栋大楼都是在其他地方把各个组件生产好，搬来工地拼装完成的。
ST MARTIN-IN-THE-FIELDS
Church dates from 1250 with C15 additions and Victorian restorations. Grade II listed. Fine late medieval wall paintings and funeral hatchments.

WESTMINSTER HALL
One of the finest and largest Medieval halls in Europe with a magnificent hammerbeam ceiling. Work began in 1097.
英国国会大厦建筑群被大火烧毁后唯一幸存的就是WESTMINSTER HALL，其余的国会大厦建筑都是大火后重建的。英国前首相丘吉尔等很多名人都曾停灵于此，昂山素季等很多政治领袖都曾在此发表演说或接受接见礼仪。
