Nok Air to fly to Hanoi

BANGKOK, 8 September 2015: Nok Air, a Thai low-cost airline, will launch a service to Hanoi from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport, 1 December.

Hanoi will the airline’s second destination in Vietnam once a four-weekly service to Ho Chi Minh City starts 1 October.

Both the HCMC and Hanoi services will use Boeing 737-800s with 189 seats.

inside no 8The airline said it would start with four flights weekly to Hanoi. Thai AirAsia, its main competitor, serves the same route with a daily service.

Nok Air offers passengers a 30 kg baggage allowance, a flight snack and free seat selection or guaranteed Nok premium seats (front-rows) at a fee of THB240.

The all-inclusive lowest fares on the new service is THB999 /person/one-way, for bookings made up until 20 September.

The pre-launch publicity says promotional seats at THB999 are limited. It did not elaborate on how many of the 189 seats on each service to Hanoi  are allocated to the lowest fare.
