中新社吉隆坡2月14日电 (记者 赵胜玉)马来西亚政府宣布，从今年2月15日至12月31日，免除中国游客30马币的签证费。
此间媒体报道，马来西亚内政部日前发表声明表示，签证允许停留时间为30天，不能延期，且申请签证的条件不变。
马来西亚总理纳吉布于今年1月20日宣布豁免一些来马游客，包括中国游客的签证费，以此来进一步推广2015年马来西亚节庆年及增加国家收入。
由于受马航MH370航班失联和MH17航班坠毁事故的影响，中国赴马游客2014年大幅减少。截止到2014年7月，赴马中国游客只有99万人次。而2013年赴马中国游客则高达170万人次。
尽管政府免除中国游客签证费，但马来西亚多个协会对政府这一措施并不满意。
马来西亚旅游同业协会对政府只免除中国游客签证费而不是免签感到失望。该会副主席陈国良说，旅游业是一个高度竞争的行业，当其他国家纷纷给与中国游客免签的待遇后，马来西亚只是免除中国游客签证费，这就很难与其他国家竞争。他希望马来西亚今后能对中国游客免签，以吸引更多中国游客。
隆雪中华总商会也要求马来西亚政府落实免签证或至少落实落地签政策。该会署理会长戴良业认为，内阁同意免除中国游客签证费是一个很好的起步，华商希望今后逐步落实免签或落地签措施，以加强马中双边贸易和促进两国友好关系发展。(完)
All visa application for visits to Malaysia from February 15 to December 31 this year by Chinese nationals will be exempted from the visa fee, which is about RM30, according to a Bernama report.
The Home Ministry in a statement yesterday said the visa fee waiver would be implemented at all Malaysian embassies abroad which issued visa to Chinese nationals.
“The duration of stay allowed is 30 days and cannot be extended and the conditions for the visa application remain,” it said.
This is in tandem with an announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak last month on the giving of free visa to tourists from certain countries, including China, to promote MyFest2015.
Visa applications made through one-stop centres which are allowed to operate in some countries are still subject to the service charge imposed by the centre concerned.
