美聯社報導，歐盟機構歐洲航空安全局（ＥＡＳＡ）26日宣布，乘客搭乘歐洲籍航空公司飛機時，隨時都可以使用智慧手機、平板電腦等行動裝置，且不用設定為飛行模式。ＥＡＳＡ新規定立即生效，但航空公司必須在確保飛行傳輸訊號不被干擾的情況下，才能放寬乘客使用電子產品的限制。

美聯社報導，總部位於德國科隆的歐洲航空安全署今天表示，自即刻起，歐洲航空公司能自行斟酌，允許乘客在飛行途中不關機，且無須轉成「飛航模式」。
不過航空公司在允許乘客使用這類電子裝置前，必須確保飛機不受傳送訊號影響。
航空安全署發言人馬拉加基斯（Ilias Maragakis）表示，這項做法超過美國聯邦航空總署（FAA）的准許範圍。
馬拉加基斯說：「我們基本上開啟了這道大門，也就是理論上你在飛行途中能繼續打電話，像在火車上一樣。」
BERLIN—Europe’s air-safety agency has issued new guidelines allowing passengers to use portable electronics including cellphones and tablet computers any time during flights.
The Cologne-based European Aviation Safety Agency said Friday that starting immediately, European-based airlines can, at their own discretion, allow passengers to leave electronics on the entire flight, without putting them into “Airplane Mode.”
However, airlines will need to certify their planes aren’t affected by transmission signals before allowing devices to be used.
Spokesman Ilias Maragakis says that’s a step beyond what’s allowed by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
Maragakis said: “We’re basically opening the door where, in theory, you’ll be able to continue making your phone call through the gate throughout the flight . . . like you would on a train.”
