Pop, Lock & Load Break Dance Competition

The Pop, Lock & Load break dance competition returns for its seventh year with dancers from all over the globe competing for $800 in the battle of all battles! The competition is hosted and organized by Benzo, one of the founders of the legendary Canadian Bag of Trix and judged by a panel of outstanding artists and the spectators in attendance.

Multicultural Canada Day Celebration

The 4th Annual Multicultural Canada Day Celebration presented by the Community Folk Art Council of Toronto will take place on July 1, 2010 at Yonge-Dundas Square. Honourable M.P. Bob Rae will kick off the opening ceremonies at noon and Canadian Baritone Soloist Jeffrey Carl will sing our National Anthem. Ethnic folk dance performances by folk dance groups from Toronto and Quebec will follow.

This year a French Candian Step Dancing group, called “Les Eclusiers de Lachine,” will be coming from Montreal especially for this event. They will be performing several times throughout the day.
