There is a nice hostel in Bangkok where you get a clean private room in a traditional Thai house for under 200 Baht/night. Bluefin Guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area in northern Bangkok, while busy markets and cheap eateries are less than 100 metres away on the main streets. Wi-fi is free. There is even one computer for guests to share.
Downsides:
1.There’s no air conditioning, just fans in rooms. So the rooms can get hot during the daytime.
2.All the bathrooms(showers and toilets) are shared too.
3.Weekly or monthly rent only, not suitable for a short stay.

This eatery serves delicious and cheap breakfast and lunch. In the evening, it turns into an Internet cafe.
There is a food market nearby along with many old styled markets and two modern supermarkets – Tops and Tesco Lotus Express.(check out the map below).
Bus stops are located near Tops Supermarket and 7-11 stores. There is also a railway station not far from the hostel. So you don’t have to run all the way to Bangkok main railway station should you take a train journey.

Getting there from the airport:
I took an airport shuttle to Victory Monument, then boarded another bus #14 to the hostel.
从曼谷机场走出来搭免费接驳车到公交中心等车花了差不多半小时。我前年搭551路还是大巴，这天改mini-van了，估计每天不同时段不同。车资40泰铢，乘客4名。走高速不到半小时就来到胜利纪念碑。再花10泰铢转个巴士来到客栈。
Transportation from Don Muang Airport:
Take a train to Samsen railway station, then board a bus #14 or #9 heading west on Thanon Nakhon Chai Si(street).
