I went to Ala Moana Center to catch some Japanese drumming performance in the afternoon.

Then, I came back to Waikiki for the block party in the evening.

Hawaiian boys dance in front of Aliiolani Hale’s famed gold-leaf statue of Kamehameha the Great to celebrate King Kamehameha Day.

June 11 is King Kamehameha Day, a state holiday in Hawaii, and on this day the statue is draped with hundreds of floral leis bursting with a rainbow of color.
